EDENA Inc. ("we," "us," or "the Company") creates experiences built around voice and dialogue, under our motto "Wonder and inspiration, into the future." We believe a voice is part of who a person is, and that dialogue rests on trust. We handle the personal information of everyone who uses our website and services in compliance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan and other applicable laws, based on the following policy.

2. Information We Collect

In the course of our business, we may collect the following information.

  1. Inquiries — Your name, email address, and the content of your message when you contact us by email (our website has no input forms; inquiries are received by email)
  2. The voice dialogue service "MIRA" — The audio and content of your conversations with MIRA, and system logs such as the date and time of use
  3. Website browsing — Standard access logs recorded by our hosting servers (our website itself does not issue cookies or run analytics; see Article 12)
  4. Business transactions — Names and contact details of representatives of our clients and partners

3. Purposes of Use

We use the collected information within the scope of the following purposes.

  1. To respond to inquiries and to contact you
  2. To operate MIRA and our other services stably, improve their quality, and identify and address problems
  3. To prevent and respond to misuse and abusive behavior (as defined in Article 5)
  4. To maintain and improve our website
  5. To perform contracts and to make necessary business communications

4. Handling of Information in the Voice Dialogue Service "MIRA"

MIRA, the voice dialogue service on our website, processes what you say through your microphone and responds.

  1. Information we do not ask for — We never ask you to enter or speak information that identifies you personally, such as your name or contact details. Please refrain from speaking your own or anyone else's personal information during conversations.
  2. Retention and deletion of conversation logs — System logs relating to conversations (including records of the conversations) are kept temporarily for service improvement and troubleshooting, and are deleted approximately one week after collection. We do not handle these logs for the purpose of identifying individuals.
  3. Exceptional retention — Where misuse defined in Article 5 is suspected, logs may be retained beyond the usual period to the extent necessary for verification and response.
  4. Use by minors — If you are under 13, please use MIRA together with a parent or guardian. If you are between 13 and 17, please use MIRA with the consent of a parent or guardian.
  5. Voice processing provider — MIRA's voice processing uses technology provided by ElevenLabs. See Article 7 for details.

5. Prohibited Misuse and Abusive Behavior

The following acts constitute misuse or abusive behavior. If confirmed, we may restrict use, extend the retention period of logs, and take legal action.

  1. Reproducing or repurposing MIRA's responses, voice, or content without permission (including replicating or cloning the AI voice from recordings)
  2. Defamation, harassment, or speech contrary to public order and morals directed at MIRA, the Company, or third parties
  3. Attacks on our systems, attempts to improperly extract internal settings or non-public information, or bulk or automated access that interferes with the operation of the service
  4. Speaking or entering a third party's personal information without that person's consent
  5. Any other use contrary to applicable laws or the intent of this policy

6. Provision to Third Parties

We do not provide personal information to third parties without your consent, except in the following cases.

  1. Where required by law
  2. Where necessary to protect a person's life, body, or property, and obtaining your consent is difficult
  3. In other cases permitted by the Act on the Protection of Personal Information

7. External Services and Transfers to Third Parties in Foreign Countries

Our website and services use the following external services, and information may accordingly be transmitted to providers located outside Japan.

Conversation data exchanged with MIRA is processed on servers in the United States. The United States has no comprehensive federal law equivalent to Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information; personal information is protected under state laws and sector-specific legislation. We ensure appropriate handling through our contracts with these service providers. Before you use MIRA, a consent screen shown prior to microphone permission asks you to confirm this transmission to a foreign country.

8. Joint Use and Joint Research

Where personal information is handled in co-creation activities with JAXA or joint research with universities and other institutions, we determine the purpose, scope, and responsible manager in advance, and notify or publicly announce this where necessary before proceeding.

9. Our Approach to Voices

We regard the voice as a precious personal asset. The voices of casters and performers entrusted to us through the Voice Caster business and other activities are used only within the scope of purposes defined by contract and based on the individual's permission, and any conditions for AI voice generation follow the arrangements made with that individual.

10. Security Measures

We take necessary and appropriate security measures to prevent the leakage, loss, or damage of the personal information we handle, and exercise necessary and appropriate supervision over our contractors.

11. Requests for Disclosure, Correction, and Suspension of Use

We respond promptly, in accordance with the law, to requests from individuals for disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, or suspension of use of their personal information. Please direct requests to:

Our website itself does not use cookies or similar technologies, and no analytics tools are installed. For communications with external services that occur when you use MIRA, see Article 7. If we introduce analytics or similar tools to improve the site in the future, we will revise this policy and announce the change.

We may revise this policy in response to changes in law or in our business. Significant changes will be announced on this website. The revision history appears at the end of this page.
